Keep the play.
Rethink the stack.

The underlying jobs remain: discover the right accounts, verify fit, find the relevant person, enrich, activate, and learn. These shifts change how to connect them.

01

Search beyond database filters

Exa Websets and Parallel FindAll add open-web entity discovery and research to familiar database workflows. Keep vertical data sources such as StoreLeads and BuiltWith when their fields match the ICP.

OUR READ

Require source evidence for each qualification criterion. Generated lists still need validation, deduplication and contact enrichment.

02

Make a waterfall earn its place

BetterContact, FullEnrich and Waterfall.io package multi-provider contact enrichment. Direct providers such as Prospeo, LeadMagic and Icypeas remain useful building blocks.

OUR READ

Compare incremental correct, unique records after each step. More providers can mean more overlap rather than better outcomes.

03

Attach a dated reason to the account

Crustdata and Coresignal document people, company and jobs data; Unify and Common Room connect signals to GTM workflows.

OUR READ

Store event date, observation date, identity match and expiry. A hiring event is a hypothesis about need, not proof of intent.

04

MCP changes access, not the underlying truth

Clay documents research agents, Freckle has a GTM CLI, TexAu offers REST/MCP enrichment, and Clutch describes an MCP surface for service-provider research.

OUR READ

An easier way to call a tool does not independently improve data quality, entitlements, rate limits or economics.

05

Separate extraction from browser execution

Firecrawl, Spider and Jina Reader expose content/extraction layers. Browserbase, Stagehand, Browserless and AgentQL address browser execution or semantic extraction.

OUR READ

Use a direct content/data API where it fits. Use browser execution when UI or session behavior is necessary; test schemas, retries and traceability.

06

Choose the right social-data job

Zernio and Blotato document publishing workflows; TikHub and ScrapeCreators expose social-data extraction. Unipile connects messaging/email/calendar accounts.

OUR READ

Publishing to owned accounts, extracting public content, managing a connected inbox and finding creators are different jobs.

07

Treat delivery and continuity as measurable constraints

Gmail publishes authentication, spam-rate and bulk-sender requirements. LinkedIn prohibits certain automated and scraping activity.

OUR READ

Mailbox quantity, warmup scores and unlimited-send claims do not prove delivery or qualified conversations. Test actual account behavior, replies and suppression.

08

Read lifecycle notices, not just homepages

Drippi explicitly says it shut down. Persana states a May 2, 2026 platform sunset. Trigify says most standard access ends October 22, 2026 at 23:59 BST.

OUR READ

A live marketing page can outlast the product. Rebrands, acquisitions, redirects and shutdowns each have different implications for a workflow.

The comparisons above are editorial inferences from public product documentation. They are not measured performance results or universal replacement recommendations.
